I often long for a hoof graft between Lena (with her huge, sturdy Paint feet) and Bar, but it ain't gonna happen. Oh, well.

AND. GREAT boots!! Yours, of course. Miles' are cute, too, but yours are awesome.Jessica Boydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08205857670509918766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7592827114836360565.post-28819198129750802832011-07-04T15:55:38.175-04:002011-07-04T15:55:38.175-04:00Happy 4th :)

More foot sore, colic, founder cases going on that normal and slowing up a bit now but he should start to feel better soon, I hope :) Our OTTBS can have rock crunchers, trust me, even w/ all our hoof issues, etc..my NEW farrier had to use a power tool b/c his feet are so hard. Hoorah :)
The shoes are a tough thing to decide...when they are barefoot, its a great indicator of making sure all things are in check (diet, trim, etc). Shoes can hide that. BUT..I'm not a barefoot natzi, just a big big fan.
Nice boots too!!!Kristen Eleni Shellenbargerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01458744919530540978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7592827114836360565.post-20816243266233079622011-07-04T08:44:46.808-04:002011-07-04T08:44:46.808-04:00I'm with Karen; wetness can really make their ...I'm with Karen; wetness can really make their feet soft and ouchy. Mr. Moon had the same problem last week (coach even mentioned it in the SAND ring!), but he was just a week off a trim, and she said his soles were a bit soft. Don't fret too much! I'm sure he'll be fine in no time.Sand.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04371583910189754998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7592827114836360565.post-33792094168711786942011-07-02T20:23:39.664-04:002011-07-02T20:23:39.664-04:00Nice boots! Hampton went through a brief foot-sore stage about a month ago because the pasture was nothing but soup and I think his feet just got a little soft and therefore he got a little foot sore especially on gravel and the arena that has more shallow, rough footing.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11609268980526224486noreply@blogger.com
