My sciatica ( I too am apparently in my 70's) keeps us from turning left - I get so uneven in my seat trying to compensate for the discomfort. There are good yoga exercises - Shannon from a work in progress recommended them to me. She also has this issue. He really was just LOOKING for things to be distracted by, Giant Farm Machinery and pretty ladies aside:) Most of the ride didn't feel great, but it's just because I know we're capable of so much better. And yes, a sound horse is a blessing.
